International Literacy Day
September 8
At the fourteenth General Conference of UNESCO in 1966, 8 September was declared as International Day of Literacy.
All the important work we do in our daily lives has changed. To ensure that things go smoothly, people use a variety of methods and ideas. One of the major problems was education. With schools and all other institutions & Academy closed, many have adopted the idea of studying online. As in India, many schools have started classes on online platforms such as zoom, webex, team viewer, google meet and so on. But the biggest problem in India was that all sections of society had no access to practical learning. This could lead to greater drop-out rates, leading to an increase in the illiteracy rate in India. and this is what happened. in this pandemic situation where a wide range of youth lost their jobs, massive losses in their personal and professional life. The lifestyle of people have changed . literacy rate had a downfall of 2 to 5% in India.
There is a lot of things behind online learning platform which provide free courses or in very affordable price. this is so good as well as bad, because for a student or learner start anything online there are tons of suggestions available, from all these suggestions they cant find any appropriate result very easily. There may be lots of issues like introductory sections or may be more parts of any course free but at some point they start charge for remaining course, charges for certifications, or so many things. All the students & learners are not able to determine the wide scope of any course. They don’t think about the content & quality of content, specific depth of that course, that might useful in their future in their job profile or in career. They are just used as a customer which is increasing the job failure & unemployment in India.
